well I posted this in my blog but sicne there is a dedicated thread I thought I'd post it here too

Well I am relatively new to Spencer Bell's music and checked out a few songs prior to the streaming day. I found his music to be funny, witty and emotive. My faves are That Damned Thing and Go To Hell and was looking forward to the stream to see how the other bands would perform the songs.
I was extremely touched by the speeches and felt for everyone who has been touched by Spencer and cancer. Like many I had early life experiences with it through the loss of my mother who had died of a rare form of cancer and I could relate to everyone there.

The bands that performed were absolutely fantastic my faves being (not including 100 monkeys) Jake and Evro they truly rocked out and had such emotion when singing the sadder songs. Evro's ballad was truly beautiful. Then when the time came for 100 Monkeys to perform, the stream went wild. The guys were on top form throughout the entire set and Jax was in total tease mode. It was a first time for me hearing Stranger which Ben belted out and omg that was epic. The early showing also featured the most beautiful Shy Water edition and everyone was completely blown away with it. They totally made everyone's day with singing that song. The Monkey Song, had everyone bouncing about at home and singing along to the lyrics which are so funny and I think Ben had a little too much fun singing a*s hahaha I was in fits with the enthusiasm. Then the improvs omg Jax totally melted the cams with those and BD the saucy minx but we love him that way. Every single part of the show was beyond fantastic and I was left feeling euphoric for hours to come. Being from Scotland, I had stayed up all night watching the shows and it was well worth it. Even after finally getting some sleep when I did get back up I was still buzzing and I actually still am.
The vids that the guys provided were fantastic too and I loved the slideshow of Spencer it was really beautiful. I felt very privileged to be apart of such a wonderful day celebrating the great Spencer Bell even virtually.
This was my first SBL experience and I hope that next year I am able to attend in person. I currently have a deal on with my daughter to go there if her exam results are good.
If I could have said anything to the family I would have said "thank you for inviting all of us spectators into such a personal day in your lives. He has touched so many and inspires so much creativity and joy, so thank you for letting us share his memories with you, and thank you for streaming the concerts they were very much appreciated by everyone, much love and respect. Thank you."
ye the contest winners were amazing and seemed so at home up on stage. Completely loved the shows hope they manage to get them put on disc so we can buy them :)
