I'm sorry that I've been slightly absent since SBL. I had delayed starting my new/old job until after returning from Michigan.

I'm back to work as a casino dealer, which was and still is, a pretty fun job. I'm fortunate that the casino gave me several days off for Toronto, in spite of their operational needs. Extremely generous.

My dog, Harley (no, I didn't name him that; his first owner did.) is giving me the cold shoulder. Every day when I try to pet him before leaving for work, he sits in a corner of the living room and won't look at me. I feel like a bad mother.

My bag is packed for Toronto this weekend. After a decade or so of working for the airlines, I can still pack a week's worth of clothing in a tiny suitcase made for one night. People who over pack when they travel drive me bonkers!

Didn't get to do a lot of (motorcycle) riding this summer. It's time to either break out leathers or get ready to put the bikes away for the season - which means cleaning the garage (shudder). Unless I can drop next Saturday at work, I won't be able to ride in the Carol Baldwin Save-the-Boobies motorcycle ride in Syracuse. Serious bummer. I can mail in the donations checks that people have sent me along with my donation, but I still hate to miss the ride. We always have a great day.

Guess that's it for now.

I'll check in from Toronto as often as I can. Will try to post some updates on cool happenings.
